I think this is too early to state that the $1 B spent was not worth it.
Apart from the financial contribution from the tourists, this world cup was also a formal introduction to the actual football (soccer) and see the beauty and intensity of the game.
Young children now inspire to be a soccer player, and Canada's soccer team is going to soar so high!!
